نجف آباد، شهرآرميده در باغات مصفاي غرب اصفهان، تاريخ پرفراز و نشيبي دارد. تاسيس دانشگاه آزاداسلامي در اين شهر در سال 1364 يكي از به ياد ماندني ترين برگ هاي تقويم پر افتخار شهر ميباشد. .
دانشگاهي كه با داشتن 337 نفر عضو هيات علمي،18861 نفر دانشجوي فعال شاغل به تحصيل در 84 رشته در مقاطع كارداني،كارشناسي،كارشناسي ارشد ، دكتري حرفه اي و تخصصي بر خود مي بالد كه توانسته تاكنون بيش از 40000 دانش آموخته تقديم جامعه فرهيخته ايران اسلامي نمايد .
درسال های اخیر برگزاری کنفرانس های متعدد ، همایش ها و سمینارهای علمی سبب گردیده است تا این دانشگاه به عنوان یکی از محافل معتبر در زمینه دانش افزایی دانشمندان جوان ایرانی در رشته ها و گرایش های مختلف باشد .
برگزاری دومین کنفرانس ملی مهندسی ساخت و تولید دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد نجف آباد پس از برگزاری اولین دوره آن در اسفند ماه 1386 میتواند نوید دهنده ای باشد در راستای توسعه ملی و پویایی چرخ های صنعت کشور .
دومین دوره کنفرانس ملی مهندسی ساخت و تولید دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد نجف آباد این بار در آبان ماه 1388 میزبان جمعی از متخصصین ، دانشجویان ، اساتید و صنعتگران محترم کشور خواهد بود تا بار دیگر در نشست های تخصصی به بحث و بررسی پیزامون یافته های علمی و عملی خود پردازند .
طبق آمارگیری انجام شده در مراسم اختتامیه کلیه بخش های اجرایی و علمی کنفرانس دارای میانگین 80 از 100 بوده اند که نتایج بسیار مثبتی برای اولین دوره برگزاری بوده است در زیر تصاویری از اولین دوره برگزاری این کنفرانس در دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد نجف آباد قرار داده شده است .
